New family guide

Swim team has its own language. Here's the short version that gets you from sign-up to your first meet like a pro.

How to sign up for a meet

    Register your swimmer

    Create or log into your SportsEngine Motion account and complete team registration for the season.

  2. 2

    Download the apps

    Get SportsEngine Motion and join the Remind group so you never miss a weather or schedule change.

  3. 3

    Commit to each meet

    Before every meet's deadline, open the Events tab and Attend/Decline each swimmer. Add notes for the coach if needed.

  4. 4

    Sign up for your jobs

    Every family works 5 jobs a season. Claim yours early from the calendar. The good ones go fast!

  5. 5

    Show up and cheer

    Arrive an hour before the start, find the team area, do positive check-in, and enjoy your first meet.

Our messaging system for practice and meet changes due to weather or delays. Families get a join code before the season.

A paid subscription app to follow live swim-meet results from the stands.

What to bring to a meet

  • ✔Swimsuit & Barracudas cap (caps required for long hair)
  • ✔Goggles
  • ✔A couple of towels
  • ✔Sunscreen & bug spray
  • ✔Dry clothes and shoes
  • ✔Tent or blanket + folding chairs
  • ✔SHARPIES (for event numbers!)
  • ✔Snacks, games, and cash/Venmo for the Bistro
  • ✔Flashlight for evening meets

Every new family gets a mentor

You'll be paired with a board member who can answer anything. Any question is a good question! You can also reach the coaches and presidents by email.
